About us
We are The Scarlet System, a system of nearly 50 autistic nerds with BPD and some form of paranoia. We tend to be abrasive and say what we think, but we will always be honest and do what we think is best for our community. We are physicists with a Masters in Philosophy and part way through our doctorate. We are teachers, teaching first year at University as well as tutoring privately. But our main passions are software engineering, research, and helping others and our community.
We have special interests covering topics like philosophy, spirituality and kink, often sitting at the intersection of the three and many other topics. This let's us take a holistic approach to how we view the world. Outside this we are also massive nerds with a love of science, scifi, fantasy and especially miniatures (yes if you get one of us talking about Gundam you will probably have to listen to a several hours long autistic info dump).
We do not speak with one voice, we believe that out individual views make as stronger as a whole and that differences in our options let us better work together as a team. The following will briefly introduce the various headmates who have contributed here so far or are likely too in the future.
lettiel (she/her/angel/celestial)
lettiel (yes the lowercase is deliberate) is the current host of the system. She is the most deeply philosophical and spiritual member of the system. She will often speak only on third person, a sign of respect to lettiel, the archangel of corruption, who she is but one [aspect] of. Expect her to be the most active member of the system.
Lettie (she/it/angel/celestial)
Lettie is the previous host of the system and still one of the most active fronters. Her interests are far more academic with a strong focus on plurality and LGBTQI+ matters which she has spent many years advocating on. Many of the works here are based on things she wrote while host.
Scar (she/it/angel/celestial)
Scar is a more primal member of the system. Her unique views on society convinced with her hunter and prey attitude provide insight that stands in contrast to the rest of the system but also complimentary at the same time.
Samael (they/he/angel/celestial)
Samael, or just Sammy has he is generally known by, is one of the older members of the system. Their views are deeply impacted by trauma and the pain inflicted on them but he now works to move past that and become better. He is primary interested in topics like personhood and self improvement.
Cherry (she/her)
Cherry is the systems resident witch. She has the unique ability to perceive others [auras] and manipulate them with magic. She is hyper fem, bubbly and outgoing. She is generally interested in topics such as spirituality and magic.
